What is ThoughtMuse?

ThoughtMuse is an online mindmapping application.

What's mindmapping and why is it valuable to me?

Mind maps are a good way to efficiently organize ideas, concepts and thoughts in a visual and intuitive way. Mindmaps also facilitate brainstorming as well as memory retention.

Can I try it out without registering an account?

Absolutely. Visit the free interactive tutorial to get a taste of the application. Try it out (No registration required)

Does ThoughtMuse require any special software?

No. You only need an internet connection and a web browser. Firefox, Safari, Chrome or Internet Explorer 8 are recommended. Any reasonably modern, Javascript-enabled browser should work, though.

Why doesn't ThoughtMuse have Feature X?

Maybe it should! Feel free to contact me me if you have something specific in mind.

How are ThoughtMuse mindmaps stored?

All mindmaps are saved online on ThoughtMuse servers, so you can access them from anywhere, at any time.

Can I share my mindmaps with friends?

Yes, mindmaps can be published online for all to see. You can also unpublish mindmaps at any time if you change your mind.

Is my ThoughtMuse data safe?

All customer data is backed up daily, and I make the utmost effort to secure ThoughtMuse from intruders. I will never access your mindmap data unless it's needed and agreed upon for a support issue.

However, I strongly advise that you avoid storing especially sensitive information online. Passwords, social security numbers, credit card numbers and other confidential data are too important to entrust to any online service.

How much does the service cost?

The most basic features are available as a free subscription plan. However: if you use ThoughtMuse seriously you may consider upgrading to a paid subscripton. Please refer to the features and pricing page for more information.

How do I upgrade my account?

If you are going from a free account to a paid account, simply use the regular sign-up page.

If you have a paid account and want to upgrade to a more fully featured subscription plan, then please send a support mail and I'll take care of it as quickly as possible.

How do I cancel my account?

I'm not satisfied with the ThoughtMuse subscription that I recently paid for. Can I have my money back?

Yes you can. I provide a 30-day, no questions asked, money back refund guarantee.

In other words: if you are unsatisfied with the ThoughtMuse service and you started your paid subscription within the last thirty days, simply contact me and I'll refund your money.

Why do you need my email address?

Your email address is needed to send your activation message after you register. Click on the link in that email to activate your new account.

I also reserve the right to send important ThoughtMuse information to you, such as alerts about planned maintenance downtime or information about major new features in your account.

Rest assured that your mail address is safely stored. I will never release it to any third parties.

Do you offer local, on-site installations of ThoughtMuse?

ThoughtMuse is currently only available as an online service. I may however offer an on-site version at some point in the future. You are welcome to contact me if you are seriously interested in such a product.
